Murphy Bed

Have you ever considered a Murphy bed?  I hadn't until considering which room we should make the guest room.  Our new house has just the right amount of bedrooms so that everyone will have their own, leaving one bedroom available for an office or, if I am lucky, a sewing room!

We do have a nice basement that will most likely be used as a family room; however, when guests are over, it could really be an excellent spare bedroom. When guests arrive, the beautiful furniture piece will be transformed into a bed.  If remodeling goes as planned, the guests will even have their own restroom.  So while they are there they can have their own secluded space to relax and freshen up.
