Recessed bathroom shelves

Soon after we bought our house my husband did a lot of remodel work, including making a hallway so that if you enter the house from the back you would no longer need to go through the bathroom to get to the rest of the house.  It really was quite a maze.

However, by creating this hallway, he had to cut into the already-small-bathroom.  He didn't take much out, but every square inch counted in this small bathroom.  

I ran across this wonderful space saver at www.diyideas.com.  It is a recessed shelving unit with a door!  What a great idea!  

What you do is actually create shelving units inside the wall between two studs.  

This will really save us some space!
