Is that a Fireplace or a Stove?

So this is the first time I have used a thumbs down icon, but you will find out why I did shortly!  I have really been enjoying browsing through ideas and pictures listed on Kitchens.com, but then I came across this picture, my mouth dropped!  Now I ask the question again, is that a fireplace or a stove?  I might be the only one, but to me, this is quite ridiculous in a kitchen!

Well, I guess you know how I feel - I won't be adding this to my dream house "must have" list!  How about you?

Also, I sure wish I could have posted the picture right on the blog, does anyone know if I can do this?  And if I can, how?
